“How can we communicate more effectively between our siloed teams and better understand each other’s work?”

Major American Health Insurance Company*

Ask:

Within this large health insurance company, there are several moving parts and team members who rely on other employees’ workstreams to accomplish their own tasks. However, it was noticed by our client that there was no visibility or understanding into those workstreams even among fellow team members.

For this my team and I were asked to facilitate workshops to identify how to come to a common ground, understand each major teams’ work processes, and how to effectively work together as a well oiled machine.

Impact:

  • The three major employee resource types communicating to each other effectively

  • Visibility and understanding into the day-to-day work of fellow employees

  • Identifying the impacts, painpoints, and interactions for each development team

  • Work requirements and dependencies for each employee role

  • Breaking down silos between the workplace and overall company

Highlights:

  • High-fidelity user journeys highlighting the work streams of the three major personas

  • 4 design-led thinking workshops, 8 hours each, facilitated over the course of one week

  • Extensive UX writing and content strategy to ensure branding compliance and voice
