Ask:

With the emergence of COVID-19, a new disease the world had not dealt with, the need arose for a way to understand the virus. This request came from numerous hospitals and healthcare organizations across the world. For this demand, Accenture was asked to create a tool that can create cohorts, identify the overlapping causes and comorbidities with COVID-19, and several more medical parameters.

Impact:

  • A new healthcare management & cohort tool rolled out across the U.S. to hospitals and healthcare staff

    • Pulling from several national databases to identify information regarding comorbidities, medical diagnoses, underlying disease patterns and more

  • Global distribution of this tool across five countries creating a network of integrated data to tackle the complications of COVID-19 affecting new and existing patients

With data from several leading hospitals and insights offered by healthcare professionals, my team and I worked tirelessly to ensure a streamlined experience for hospitals and healthcare institutions to be able to track patterns within large pools of data.

For this engagement, I acted as Lead UX Designer alongside a team of developers and and doctors.

Research pulled from medical personnel around the world.

After workshopping with our stakeholders, my team and I consolidated information, and requirements from five rounds of user interviews across five different nations.

  • User interviews across five different nations and languages

  • Mapping out information hierarchy based off the needs of doctors, technicians, lab personnel and more

  • Usability testing and follow-up user interviews conducted among multiple nations

  • Information pulling from and updating several multinational medical databases to create a shared global network
